Vegetables Dumplings
 

 

I.      Recipe name: Vegetables Dumplings

II.      Ingredients:

  1. ½ pound Shanghai wonton pastry*
  2. 1 pound Chinese cabbage
  3. 4 pieces vegetarian chicken **
  4. 10 dried black mushroom*, soaked in water and minced
  5. A few carrots, minced

III.      Seasonings:

  1. 1 teaspoon salt
  2. 1 Tablespoon sugar
  3. 3 teaspoons vegetarian seasoning*
  4. 1 Tablespoon light soy sauce
  5. 1 Tablespoon cornstarch*
  6. Sesame oil (to taste)

IV.      Superior soup:

  1. 1 teaspoon salt
  2. 2 teaspoons vegetarian seasoning*
  3. 1 Tablespoon light soy sauce
  4. Sesame oil (to taste)

V.      Directions:

  1. Wash Chinese cabbage, blanch them in boiling water until soft, then soak in cold water, squeeze out the excess water; cut cabbage into small pieces, squeeze out water.
  2. Mince the veggie chicken.
  3. Mince the soaked mushroom.
  4. Mince the carrot.
  5. Mix all ingredients and add seasonings.
  6. Put some filling into the center of one wonton wrap and close it.
  7. Bring water to boil, add 1 tea spoon of oil, put wontons into the pot, (don’t cover so that the wontons won’t break). Once the wontons float, they are cooked, serve them in a bowl, add superior soup and sesame oil.
