Winter Gourd Delight

I. Recipe name: Winter Gourd Delight
II. Ingredients:

½ pound winter gourd*, peeled and cubed

20g dried lilies*, soaked in water until
soft
-
10g dried black fungus*, soaked in water
until soft
-
½ carrot, sliced
-
6 fried tofu*
-
100g vegetarian fish paste**
-
2 stalks cilantro or fresh coriander, washed and cut into small sections
-
5 Tablespoons vegetable oil
-

teaspoon salt

teaspoon brown sugar
-

teaspoon sesame oil

1
teaspoon vegetarian seasoning*

Tablespoon soy sauce

Tablespoon cornstarch*

½ cup water
IV. Cooking utensils:
V. Directions:

Stuff the vegetarian fish paste into the fried
tofu, and deep-fry until golden brown. Put aside.

Sauté dried lilies with a little cooking oil. Then add
in winter gourd and
some water, cook in low heat for 5 minutes.

Add carrots, fried tofu, black fungus, and
the seasonings. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Mix
the corn starch with a little water to
form the starch solution. Pour it into the dish
and continue to stir. Remove from heat and
sprinkle cilantro leaves on top. Serve.
