Fried Vegetarian Pork Strip with Satay Sauce

 

 I.     Recipe name: Fried Vegetarian Pork Strip With Satay Sauce

II.     Ingredients:

  1. 70g textured vegetable protein (TVP) pork strips**
  2. 80g young corn, washed and sliced
  3. 100g carrot, washed and sliced
  4. 2 slices ginger
  5. 4 Tablespoons cooking oil
  6. 1 teaspoon corn starch*
  7. 2 Tablespoons water

III.     Seasonings:

  1. 2 teaspoons vegetarian satay paste*
  2. ½ teaspoon sugar
  3. Pinch salt
  4. 1 teaspoon light soy sauce

IV.     Directions:

  1. Mix corn starch and water together. Set aside.
  2. Soak the TVP pork strip in water until soft, squeeze out the excess water. Mix with 1 tablespoon cooking oil and ½ teaspoon corn starch.
  3. Heat oil in medium heat and sauté ginger until fragrant. Add veggie meat strips, young corn and carrot and stir-fry well. Add the seasoning and continue to stir for 2 ~ 3 minutes.
  4. Add the corn starch mixture and mix well. Serve.
