Stewed Gluten Roll

 

I.     Recipe name: Stewed Gluten Roll

II.     Ingredients:

  1. 500g fried gluten roll*, washed and drained
  2. 500g fried gluten meat chuck*

(Fresh gluten roll can be used as well.)

  1. 8-10 Tablespoons cooking oil
  2. 8-10 slices ginger
  3. ½  Tablespoon sesame oil 

III.     Sauce seasonings:

  1. 200g vegetarian flavored sauce*
  2. ½ teaspoon vegetarian seasoning*
  3. 1 Tablespoon light soy sauce
  4. 1 Tablespoon sugar
  5. 1-2 teaspoons salt
  6. 2 Tablespoons dark soy sauce*
  7. White pepper (to taste)
  8. 2 cups water

IV.     Directions:

  1. Heat 8 Tablespoons cooking oil in a frying pan on medium heat, and stir-fry the gingers until light golden brown.

  2. Add all the sauce ingredients and covered with a lid; bring to a boil.

  3. Add the gluten rolls and stir until the gluten rolls absorbed sauce. Turn the heat to low and covered with a lid. Cook for 12-15 minutes. Keep stirring the gluten rolls occasionally while cooking.

  4. Finally, add in the sesame oil and 2 Tablespoons cooking oil.
